H.E. Klinefelter Award
In 1959, CCA instituted an award as a memorial to H.E. Klinefelter, a charter member of the organization. It is given to cooperative communicator members whose work is considered by their peers to be outstanding. The list of Klinefelter Award winners is impressive.

Michael Graznak Award
CCA instituted the Michael Graznak Award, as a memorial to an outstanding younger member who met an untimely death. It honors members age 35 or under who have made superior contributions to cooperative communications and who give promise of having a brilliant and successful future.

CEO Outstanding Communicator Award
In 1992, CCA began giving its CEO Outstanding Communicator Award. The award recognizes the commitment of a cooperative chief executive officer to open communications as an integral part of an effective management style. The winner of the 2010 CEO award is Bart Krisle, CEO, Tennessee Farmers Cooperative.

Judges Awards in the CCA Communicators Contest
Annually, in addition to these three awards, judges outside the ranks of CCA select a writer and photographer of the year; best of show in photography, writing, and programs and projects; and publication of the year.
Megan McKoy-Noe, NRECA, earned the 2011 Writer of the Year honor.
Dairy Farmers of America's Communications Team was honored with Best of Show in writing for "Help Wanted."
Kyle Spradley of the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives is 2011 Photographer of the Year.
Allison Morgan, Tennessee Farmers Cooperative, won Best of Show in Photography for "Vehicle of Change."
Dairy Farmers of America's Communications Team won the 2011 Programs and Projects Best of Show Award for DFA's 2010 Annual Meeting package.
Tennessee Farmers Cooperative's Communications Department was awarded the 2011 Publication of the Year for "Fresh."

Honorary Membership
From time to time, the CCA Board bestows Honorary Membership on deserving individuals. To date there have been 26 individuals who have received honorary members. Honorary membership brings with it all the benefits of active membership without the obligation of paying dues. Nominations come from among the CCA membership and are submitted to a board member who presents the nomination to the entire board for review. Jim Erickson was named an Honorary Member at the 2011 CCA Institute.
